The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit word for 'wheel'.
Chakras are spinning discs of energy points within the body. They run from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. 
Chakras are thought to provide subtle energy that help your organs, mind, and intellect work at their best. At times, that natural flow of energy can become blocked and out of balance, which can contribute to the level of our physical, emotional and spiritual health. There can be many reasons why the natural flow becomes disrupted; this could be due to stress, anxiety, depression, posture, lack of sleep or exercise, diet and self-sabotaging behaviour.
